THE FOUNDER ROMAIN MAYAUD
A graduate engineer from ESTP, Romain Mayaud built his career at the intersection of construction, human commitment, and environmental transformation.
At Bouygues Construction in Russia, he discovered the demands of major projects: rigorous processes, a results-driven culture, and the importance of an organization capable of delivering on its promises. This experience forged his conviction that high-performing industry is built primarily on operational excellence and quality. A few years later, in Madagascar with NGOs, he discovered the richness of human diversity, the strength of collective action, and the importance of building meaningful projects. Then came seven years at Kbane in Hauts-de-France. Working with energy renovation challenges, one truth became clear: industrial models must evolve. The future belongs to companies capable of reducing their impact while creating greater value.
He then decided to create DAGOBAIRE with a simple ambition: save as many textiles as possible from incineration and landfilling so they become tomorrow's resources.
WHY DAGOBAIRE?
Dagobaire, a name that already tells our story.
Inspired by King Dagobert and his famous pants worn inside out, Dagobaire evokes the idea of looking at things differently and giving them a new life.
The word also echoes the area, the circular movement, and the circular economy that guides our activity: transforming end-of-life textiles into new useful resources.
