PROJECTS #SPINNING
From the Great Outdoors to Our Interiors: Dagobaire Reinvents Character Fabrics
Textiles are everywhere in our lives. They keep us warm, clothe us, and beautify our surroundings. But there are fabrics that live a different life, one more exposed: outdoor canvases.
All around us, they face the elements. They filter sunlight, defy the wind, and withstand the rain. Manufactured to resist the test of time, these canvases contain fibers of rare quality. Yet, when their first cycle ends, the traditional system often settles for incinerating them. Where others saw a product at the end of its life, we saw the potential for rebirth. This is our daily philosophy: at Dagobaire, nothing is wasted, everything is spun anew.
Artisanal Expertise to Counter Incineration
Dagobaire has worked hard and long to successfully tame these robust canvases. Through a meticulous process of sorting, cutting, and shredding, we manage to isolate the original fiber to offer it a new destiny.
Whether blue, white, red, solid, or striped, we recover these materials to reintegrate them into new yarns. Each year, we save several hundred tons of fibers from destruction in this way.
A Second Life at the Heart of the Home
Once reclaimed, these fibers re-enter our lives through the front door: that of furnishings. Transformed into strong and elegant yarns, they return to dress and beautify the furniture in our homes.

By reinventing the destiny of these canvases, Dagobaire weaves a lasting connection between the outdoors and the indoors, proving that a fabric that defied the elements yesterday can warm our homes today.
