PROTECTIVE COVER - LED AND HALOGEN COMPATIBLE
The protective cover is an essential safety device for installing recessed spotlights under insulation.
Made of non-combustible material (Euroclass A1), it creates a safety volume around the luminaire, preventing any direct contact with the insulation.
Compliant with the requirements of NF DTU 45.10 and 45.11, it guarantees the thermal dissipation necessary to protect both the structure and the lifespan of your bulbs.
APPLICATION FOR RECESSED SPOTLIGHTS
1. Make a small slit at the base of the spotlight cover for the cable entry.
2. To ensure a dust-tight seal, it is advisable to bond the covers to the surface with sealant.
3. Position the spotlight cover over the recessed spotlight, on a clean, dry, dust-free surface. Transformers must be installed outside the insulation, either above the insulation or covered by a spotlight cover identical to those used to protect the spotlights.
4. Blow the insulation over the spotlight cover until the required thickness is reached. When using roll or panel insulation, cut a cross-shaped slit in the insulation with a utility knife to make it easier to cover the spotlight cover.
5. The spotlight cover can be completely covered.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The latest standards for installing insulation in unused loft spaces and roofs require recessed spotlights to be protected to prevent any contact with the insulation. Thermal or acoustic insulation must be installed at a generous thickness, and recessed spotlights, whether LED and/or halogen, must be completely covered.
